Racing at Wellington this weekend where Awapuni has reasonable numbers:

SOPHIA MAGIA (Trainer Royden Bergerson) didnt get all favours when seventh at Awpauni at the start of April. She then lined up on her home track again on ANZAC day and was close up when fifth behind Bojangles beaten just 1.5 lengths. Last time out at Woodville she stuck on well for fifth again behind Myrtle. In the third she returns to the track where she has had her only win and comes in on the minimum. She can run a bold race with Kelly McCulloch to ride.

DARK PRINCESS (Trainer Jeff Lynds) was very good when resuming at Waverley and running home well to be second behind Desano. She then ventured South to Riccarton and disappointed slightly when sixth over the 1600m. She will be all the better for her first run over the mile and in a very even field on Saturday in the fourth she is capable of bouncing back. Rosie Myers will do the riding.

MANHATTAN STREET (Trainer Lisa Latta) was a good fourth when resuming at Awapuni on Boxing Day behind King Cougar on a Slow track. He really appreciated the very wet conditions at Awapuni last weekend when winning easily by a length and a half. He gets in very well at the weights and will love the wet trcak and is a big chance to repeat in the sixth of the day. Kelly McCulloch will ride.
